All About Boudoir Photo Shoots: Frequently Asked Questions

For multiple years, I've been immersed in the world of boudoir photography in Jacksonville, Florida, finding it to be one of my most cherished types of sessions. My goal is to send clients away with a newfound sense of confidence, allure, and zest for life. I'll guide you through the process; all you need to do is make it to the session— admittedly, the most challenging part. While boudoir sessions make fantastic gifts for partners, there's an unparalleled sense of empowerment in treating yourself to one.

I have put together a list of FAQ’s from previous boudoir photo sessions. Remember, these answers are general and may vary based on individual photographers' practices. It's important to communicate with your chosen photographer to ensure you're fully informed and comfortable with the details of your boudoir photoshoot.

  1. Q: What is a boudoir photoshoot?

A: A boudoir photoshoot is a tasteful and intimate photography session where you're photographed in lingerie or more revealing outfits to capture your confidence, beauty, and sensuality.

  2. Q: Do I need to have modeling experience to do a boudoir shoot?

A: No modeling experience is required. A skilled photographer, like myself will guide you through poses to capture your best angles and bring out your personality. I also provide all my clients with a questionaire so I can get to know you a little better.

A: Choose outfits that make you feel comfortable and confident. Common choices include lingerie sets, silk robes, oversized sweaters, or anything that reflects your personal style. Click here to see my Amazon favs

  4. Q: Should I bring my own outfits and props?

A: Yes, bringing your own outfits and props that resonate with you can help personalize the shoot and make you feel more comfortable. I have a cathedral veil you can use as a prop— just ask!

  5. Q: Can I bring a friend or partner to the photoshoot?

A: It depends on your comfort level, but ensure they respect your privacy during the shoot. I am totally ok with it!

A: Boudoir sessions usually last from 30 minutes to 2 hours, allowing enough time for different outfits and poses. This time does not include hair and make-up prep.

  7. Q: Will my photos be kept private and secure?

A: I will always ask you if you’re ok with me sharing your photos. Most clients are fine as long as they are not tagged and you cannot see their face.
